1. Technology of plastic gravure composite carton
When using the single-sided corrugated production line, if the face paper needs to be covered with bright film after printing, and the production batch is large, it can not be printed on the face paper, but gravure printing can be completed on the plastic film by gravure printing, with a white background, and then the printed plastic film and the face paper are compounded first, and then the box making can be completed according to the conventional carton forming process. This process is characterized by:
(1) The production cost of cartons is low. When the production batch is large, this process can greatly reduce the printing cost and material cost of face paper. Because the face paper does not need printing, uncoated white board paper can be used, which greatly reduces the cost of face paper.
(2) The printing is exquisite. Because of the use of plastic gravure printing, the printing effect can be comparable to that of offset printing. When using this process, we should pay special attention to the size change and deformation of plastic film during plate making and printing; Otherwise, the surface paper of the carton will be out of alignment with the lower paperboard.
2. Gravure printing technology of coated paper composite carton
This process can be used when the production batch is relatively large, film coating is not required, and good printing effect and low cost are required. In this process, a thin coated paper is printed by a paper gravure press, and then the beautifully printed coated paper is combined with ordinary slag board paper or box board paper as a whole as the carton surface paper, and then mounted and normal carton forming processing are carried out. This process is characterized by:
(1) The production cost of cartons is low. The main reason for the cost reduction is that the white board is changed into low gram coated paper and compounded with cheap box board paper, which reduces the material cost.
(2) The printing is exquisite. The printing effect of paper gravure printing is very exquisite.
(3) Gravure plate making is complex and expensive, so it is not suitable for printing carton products with frequent revision.
(4) The operation and control methods of paper lamination, box making and other process processes in printing plants should be carefully explored, accumulated and implemented reasonably, otherwise it is easy to increase the scrap rate.
3. Direct offset corrugated box technology
At present, the direct offset printing process of corrugated box has been relatively mature abroad. It prints corrugated board directly on a special offset press. Suitable for processing thin corrugated boxes.
This process can not only ensure the good formability of cartons, but also complete exquisite face paper printing, but the price of the printing machine is relatively expensive. At present, it does not adapt to China’s demand standards and is not suitable for the carton industry to adopt in the near future. However, in the next few years, this process may become a new development direction of high-grade carton printing in China.
4. Flexographic preprint and gravure preprint corrugated box technology
This year, the development is relatively fast. Both processes first print face paper in the form of web paper, and then complete the production of corrugated board on the full-automatic corrugated board production line. The printing quality and molding quality of cartons are relatively high, but the investment is relatively large, and it is not suitable for small batch production.
