The Semi-automatic stitching machine is one of the post-processing equipment for cardboard boxes, and its principle is the same as that of a regular stapling machine. However, the nailing machine uses tiger teeth as a backing plate and is specifically used for sealing cardboard boxes. The structure of a regular manual Semi-automatic box stitching machine is mainly composed of a nail head, a support arm, a driving motor, a transmission clutch, a body, and a foot switch. The driving motor is generally 0.5 kW and adopts single or double stage triangular belt transmission power, with only one speed ratio compared to the motor. When the motor is running during operation, but without stepping on the foot switch, the transmission clutch does not operate, the nail head does not nail, and the box needs to be nailed. The cardboard needs to be manually supported, and the switch is pressed to engage the nail head action, and the nail head is cycled. The more complex aspects of this type of machine are the nail head and mechanical clutch. The most important component in the machine head is the punch. As the punch moves up and down, it completes the four processes of wire feeding (including cutting), forming, punching, and hanging in a short period of time (about half a second). Due to different structural design speeds, accelerations, and dwell times, the required time and vulnerable parts are also different, which brings certain difficulties for manufacturers. There are three types of punch reciprocating mechanisms currently used: cams, eccentric wheels, and eccentric shafts. The cam type, also known as the groove wheel type, has the disadvantage of being slightly difficult to machine and having a relatively large number of components in the machine head. Although some vulnerable parts use relatively small materials, steel must also be selected and subjected to corresponding heat treatment processes to improve endurance and extend service life. During regular maintenance, it is necessary to frequently add lubricating oil and maintain cleanliness. When choosing this type of machine, the main consideration is the manufacturer’s nail head and body.
